I am currently pregnant and looking for exercise classes in the Reno-Sparks area that are geared specifically towards pregnant women. I would be most interested in prenatal water aerobics and yoga (for a decent price), but interested in other classes as well. Drop in classes would be my top choice rather than having to register at a gym, however I would like to know about both, regardless. If anybody knows of these classes in the area, please pass them on. Thanks
I am looking for a mom who is a nationally certified group exercise instructor or personal trainer to teach stroller fitness classes in Reno. Must have a cheerful and outgoing personality and be able to teach about two classes per week to start. In turn, you will be able to bring your baby with you, get paid to work out, and get a chance to meet other moms and their babies in your community. Must also be CPR certified and have own liability insurance. Please email or call me for more information or to apply for this position.
HI everyone,
I just joined here yesterday and have been reading the forums. And this seems like it's going to be a great place.
I am thinking of joining a gym, but want to find one that is Kid friendly. I don't want to drop him off in a room that only has about 5 toys and someone that just sits and watched them play. I would like to find one where they either do a few things or the person attending the kids at least plays with them.

Wow! Check out how moms got this whole thing rolling.

Moms on the Run is a non-profit organization that was formed in 2000 to raise money to assist local women with breast cancer. Funds raised will be donated to specific needs of women during treatment for breast cancer in Northern Nevada. Local people helping local people. All money raised here stays here.

The Reno-Tahoe Odyssey, a 178-mile adventure relay run in Nevada and California, is open for registration. I've been grateful to have met many moms who participated last year. Each had a blast.
Odyssey runners traverse parts of country once covered by the Pony Express, the Donner Party and other pioneers traveling the West. This year's event is June 29-30.
