
HELP!!
My daughter, who is normally a very well adjusted, secure girl, is absolutely terrified of 6th grade.The problem is her friends are all in the "other" class, and her biggest fear in life is that she will lose these friends. She thinks that by not being in the same class, they will "forget" her.
Mind you I have said everything calming I can think of, everything rational that would come to mind, but still have had trouble freeing her of this worry.

Parents readily admit they bribe their children to get them to behave a certain way.
Call it a reward, or just "bribery." Whichever it is, some parenting experts say today's parents have gone too soft.
